PACT Meeting Update


Environmental Damage/Littering

Date of Meeting: 25/01/2012
Meeting: Wenvoe Community Hall, Wednesday at 7pm
Location of Concern: Wenvoe Village
Summary: Littering - There has been an increase in litter found in and around the Wenvoe Village area.

Regular foot patrols have been conducted in relation to this issue and there have not been any significant problems seen or reported to me in recent weeks.  Patrols will continue to check the level of litter in the area.

There has been a considerable build up of litter in the approach to Wenvoe Village from The Beech Tree Inn, Culverhouse Cross side and at St.Lythan’s Wenvoe Mast area.  This is also an issue in the area leading down to the bridleway at Pound Lane. The Vale Council has been alerted to problem by the Neighbourhood team and a litter pick has been conducted. Regular visible patrols are being carried out in this area to monitor the litter problem. Some Fly Tipping at St. Lythans was also reported.
